SUB-SURFACE (Bottom Fill) FILLING
HOW IT WORKS

A container is placed on the filling platform,
and the fill cycle is started.

The filling nozzle descends to the bottom of the
container and the tip opens to begin filling.

The level of the liquid rises to cover the tip
of the nozzle.

The nozzle rises as the product level rises.

The shut-off weight is reached and the nozzle closes.

The nozzle rises from the container. The filled container
is discharged and a new container is placed for filling.

SUB SURFACE FILLING APPLICATIONS

Cleaning/Janitorial Products: These include detergent, soap, floor wax, disinfectant, and other products that tend to foam.
Chemical Products/Coatings: Many low viscosity chemical products, paints, and coatings tend to foam when filled.
Food Products: Products such as food flavors, food colors and light syrups foam when filled hot.
Solvents- Static Electricity Protection: Some solvents will create static electricity when agitated. Sub-surface filling provides a grounded probe in the liquid during filling.
Splash Elimination: Sub-Surface filling eliminates splash when filling very low viscosity products that are difficult to fill by top fill methods.
